Calling all Earth enthusiasts, join us for a Non-Functional Turf Conversion Event.
This hands-on volunteer opportunity will help transform underutilized turf areas into water-efficient, climate-appropriate landscapes that support sustainability and beautify our community. With your help, we’ll remove non-functional grass and prepare the space for drought-tolerant planting that conserves water and enhances the local environment.
Volunteers will assist with turf removal, site preparation, and general project support.
No prior experience is necessary.
City staff provide guidance, tools, and safety instructions. We're partnering with our friends at Zone 7 to bring you this fun, community-based, family-friendly volunteer event.
Wear comfortable work clothes, closed-toe shoes.
Bring sunscreen, water, and your enthusiasm.
This is a great opportunity to make a visible impact, connect with neighbors, and support Livermore’s ongoing water conservation and sustainability efforts.
Vehicle Parking available, first come first serve, at the Livermore High School parking lot. Please safely cross the road.
